Welcome to Egerton Primary School

"Ready to learn. Ready to thrive. Ready for tomorrow."

“Ready to learn. Ready to thrive. Ready for tomorrow.”

It is a real privilege to welcome you to Egerton Primary School.

Egerton is a warm, happy and ambitious school where relationships are at the heart of everything we do. We are incredibly proud of our strong sense of community, the exceptional outcomes our children achieve and the opportunities we provide. Our children are enthusiastic and proud of their school, our staff care deeply about the children they teach, and our families play an important and valued part in school life.

As Headteacher, I want every child at Egerton to feel known, valued and believed in. Children learn best when they feel safe, happy and that they truly belong. Alongside this, we have high expectations for every child and are exceptionally proud of the standards our pupils achieve. Our consistently excellent outcomes reflect the quality of teaching across our school, the commitment of our staff and the ambition we have for every pupil.

Our broad and ambitious curriculum provides strong foundations in reading, writing and mathematics while giving children opportunities to be curious, creative and engaged, to discover their talents and to develop a genuine love of learning. Our wonderful grounds, links with the local community and wider experiences help us to broaden children's horizons and ensure that learning extends well beyond the classroom.

Inclusion is central to who we are. We recognise that children may need different things in order to succeed, and we are committed to understanding each child as an individual, removing barriers to learning and providing the right support and challenge. Whatever a child's starting point, background or individual needs, including those with SEND or who may be disadvantaged, our ambition remains the same: for every child to thrive and achieve their very best.

We value the strong partnership we have with our families and the wider Knutsford community. There is a genuine sense of pride and belonging at Egerton, and we believe that the very best education comes from children, staff and families working together.

As part of The Learning Partnership, we share the Trust's values of Ambition, Inclusion and Opportunity. These values reflect what we want for every child at Egerton: to aim high, to know that they belong and to have experiences and opportunities that help them discover what they are capable of.

Above all, we want our children to be happy to come to school, to be challenged and supported to achieve their very best, and to leave Egerton as confident, kind and capable young people, ready for whatever comes next.

I am incredibly proud to be Headteacher of Egerton and of the warm, ambitious and inclusive community we have created together.

If you are considering Egerton for your child, I warmly encourage you to come and visit us. The best way to understand what makes our school special is to come through our doors, meet our children and staff, and experience Egerton for yourself.
