Day 6, 7 & 8:
On Saturday, we woke up early (4:30am) and headed off to Lake Nakuru for Safari. We saw so many animals including: buffalo, zebra, baboons, rhino, pelican, gazelle, giraffe, ostrich and more!
Today was our last day at Egerton. We had a busy morning sorting out all the books in the library. The children are so excited to read the many stories you sent over! We also created a classroom display all about the global goals and solar energy.
This afternoon was the farewell assembly. All the teachers and children had been preparing different things for us and it was wonderful! We sat outside and the children began the assembly by singing the National Anthem. They then treated us to a fantastic performance of a poem about gender equality and also a poem about the partnership. The teachers had written the poem especially for us! The children also performed a fashion show and a wonderful dance which Multiflex had taught them. We presented the school with our gift of the Egerton lion which was created by Mr Claydon Butler. Everyone was amazed by the clever way the lion had been made. It was a fantastic assembly and a great way to end our time here! We can't wait to show you all the photographs and tell you all about our visit!
