Day 2 at Pensarn

Date: 20th Mar 2018 @ 5:05pm

Another beautiful day at Pensarn! We have had glorious sunshine and blue skies today again! Our four groups have been extremely busy doing different activities and it’s been lovely hearing them share stories with one another about what they have done in the morning and the afternoon!

Some of the children have been gorge walking this morning! The children loved it! We started at the top of the gorge and walked down. The water was very cold (we even saw icicles!) but we worked together to help each other down and I was so proud of all the children! This afternoon we had a slightly warmer activity - archery! We learnt how to hold and aim and then played some games!

Two groups have been out on the water all day! It’s been a perfect day for water activities! The children started the day with raft building. First, we had to decide how to build a sturdy raft and then we had to build it! It was important for the children to work as a team! Eventually the raft went out onto the after and.... it worked! The children paddled down the river and played games whilst on the raft. In the afternoon, the children were kayaking. They spent the first part of the session learning how to use the paddles and how to turn and move in the water. On the water, the children paddled around, had races and played lots of games!

The children have loved their first full day of activities! We are ready for some tasty food and sleep in preparation for another fun and busy day tomorrow!

The children have loved hearing your comments so please keep adding them for us to share!
