Beeston Day One

Date: 9th May 2018 @ 5:10pm

We have had an amazing first day at Beeston. First of all, we arrived at the outdoor centre and got introduced to Stella, one of the leaders here at Beeston (some of the children remembered her from last year!) The children played a few listening games and then went on a mini-beast hunt. The children caught the mini-beasts and had races with them! It was great fun – we learnt that a millipede is a herbivore and a centipede is a carnivore (they move quicker to catch their prey!) After that, we jumped back on the coach and the children made their own candles and candle holders, which look fabulous, at the candle factory. Later we headed back home for a bit of free time playing in the grounds of Beeston. A big group of children worked as a team to make a mini-beast hotel! Super team work children! Finally we had our dinner (spag bol and chicken pie and chips – mmm!), they wrote in our diaries and settled down to bed.

The children so far ‘love Beeston’
